…and say HELLO to client inquiries while you sleep/travel/spend time with family, better-fit clients who are a great match for your services, and ultimately, a more sustainable and scalable private practice.

🗣️ Let's get one thing straight: when you're feeling obligated to take clients on, when you look at your schedule and sigh, or when you avoid opening client emails, you, my friend, have a copy problem.

Through your copy, you've inadvertently called in the WRONG-FIT clients. 😨

Here’s the thing, it’s not just me who has gotten wayward advice.

It’s the norm in the therapy industry to market in vague, general, and broad terms:
👉🏼 We’re not specific enough in our content.
👉🏼 We talk to many different ideal clients at once and water down our message.
👉🏼 We take an entire population and call it a niche.

This costs us thousands. 💸

And d’you know what? No one ever corrected me. No one ever said, “Hey dude, that’s not specific enough. You’re gonna set yourself up for failure, trying to market to every couple out there. Get your ish together and get a real niche!”

Look, I’d invested in marketing courses with well-known leaders in my industry. I showed up to all the calls. I unmuted and participated. I’d done the thing! And I know you have too. But the results have been lackluster.

So here’s the good news: I’ve done private practice marketing all the wrong ways in the past — from generic AF messaging, to an non-niche-niche, to a cringey therapist Instagram account that, mercifully, no longer exists — so I know what works and what doesn’t.

In order for you to stand out, you can't just leave it at, "work with me on emotion regulation."

Instead, name the benefit of developing that skill.

Same with other skills you teach clients, like...

👉🏼 self-compassion
👉🏼 confidence
👉🏼 distress tolerance
👉🏼 communication skills
👉🏼 relationship skills

It's confusing at first to separate our modality from the benefit. But it's 1000% necessary for effective marketing.

It's how you stand out from *everyone else* who offers "emotion regulation." (Cause...that's every therapist.) 😬
